Better Vet Visits… Through Chemistry! Pre-Visit Meds For Anxious Dogs
Thursday, July 13th – 3 pm Pacific time (6 pm Eastern)
If your dog puts the brakes on when it’s time to go to the vet, don’t worry – you’re not alone! Veterinary visits can be scary. While some dogs take all the poking and prodding in stride (lucky you, if that’s the case!), others spend the entire visit hiding under a chair in the exam room, or barking and lunging at everyone they see. So if your pup is anxious or aggressive at the vet’s office, what can we do to help?
In this webinar, Dr. Jen will answer all your burning questions about pre-visit medication options for veterinary appointments!
- How do you know if you should consider pre-visit meds for your dog?
- What are our goals with pre-visit medication, for dogs who struggle with anxiety or aggressive behavior in the veterinary clinic?
- What are some common meds that are used for this purpose, and how do they work?
We’ll also discuss how to talk with your veterinarian about meds for your dog if you’re not sure how to broach the topic, and address some common concerns and potential caveats to consider with the use of anti-anxiety medication for vet visits.
