Announcement: Upcoming Webinar on Dealing With Veterinary Emergencies

Hi all!

A quick announcement – I will be hosting a webinar tomorrow evening (Thursday, 7/14) through the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy, about dealing with veterinary emergencies in dogs. We’ll talk about how to manage relatively minor issues like limping, vomiting and diarrhea, and minor injuries. We’ll also discuss how to know when you need a vet visit, what’s an emergency vs. “it can wait,” and how to do first aid procedures like CPR and the Heimlich maneuver in dogs.

This presentation will be geared towards dog sports people who often have to deal with these issues on the road, but a lot of the info will also be applicable to managing veterinary stuff for pet owners at home.

The webinar is open to anyone who wants to sign up, so feel free to join me if you’re interested!

(Also, FYI – this will be a repeat of the webinar on this topic that I originally ran for FDSA in 2019, back by popular demand. 😊 So if you watched it the first time around, no need to attend again unless you just want to!)

**Note: you DO NOT have to attend the webinar live, if it doesn’t fit with your schedule.  As long as you’re registered, a recording will be available for you to watch at your convenience.  But, you do need to make sure to register BEFORE the webinar date, as it won’t be available for purchase afterwards.**

Cost for the webinar is $19.95.  Registration link is here: FDSA webinar page

Be Prepared! Dealing With Veterinary Emergencies On The Go

Thursday, July 14th – 6 pm Pacific time (9 pm Eastern)

If you travel regularly with your dog, you know how stressful dealing with unexpected medical issues can be. Whether it’s an upset stomach, a bee sting, or your pup comes up limping, it’s best to be prepared for anything!

This webinar will discuss how to handle common veterinary problems you might encounter when you’re away from the comforts of home, including the following topics:

  • What needs immediate vet care vs. what’s safe to watch and wait
  • Emergency first aid procedures
  • Veterinary travel kit essentials
  • How to find an emergency clinic if you need one

Even though we’d rather not need this knowledge, it’s a reality of life that things happen! Make sure you have a plan in place to help your dog, if an unexpected problem arises.
